String of Hearts Ceropegia woodii It is easy to see why this tropical hanging basket plant is called the string of hearts. Also known as the purple shamrock or false shamrock oxalis triangularis is a colorful hanging plant that can be grown indoors or outdoors. The thin stems look like pieces of thread with heart-shaped leaves.
